We work in three metals, and every one is made to be lived in.14k gold-filled: a thick layer of real 14k gold (1/20 of the chain's weight) heat-bonded over a jeweler's brass core. That's about 100 times more gold than plating.Sterling silver: 100% .925 sterling. Hypoallergenic and timeless.Solid 14k gold: our most durable, tarnish-free option. We never use gold-plated or mystery metals. Ever.

No. We place a small leather patch under the spot we weld to block the rare spark, following industry best practice. The welder only touches the tiny link that closes your chain, not your skin, and it's over in seconds.

Honestly, it depends on you. Most of our chains last about 2 to 3 years, and we've seen pieces go well past that. Others need replacing within a few months. Your skin, your products, and your everyday routine all play a part.

It's easy! Use small scissors or nail clippers to cut at the jump ring (the small circular connector we welded). Save your chain and we'll re-weld it for free when you're ready!

Our most basic chains will start at $80 for permanent bracelet length, with Luxe chain styles ranging from $100-$140. Solid 14k gold is priced by chain style and starts at $170. Want to make it more personal?Charms, connectors, and custom details can be added to create a piece that feels completely your own. Final pricing depends on the chain and details you choose.

Yes. Shower, swim, sweat. These chains are made for real life. A quick rinse with water after lotion, sunscreen, or a pool day keeps the finish looking its best.

Keep harsh chemicals off it. If you use oils, lotion, sunscreen, or spray tan, rinse your chain with a little water afterward to protect the finish.Some things are outside anyone's control. Acidic skin, certain products, sulfur in your water, and your natural pH can all wear gold down faster, and we can't cover wear caused by those. If you get your rings re-dipped every few years, a gold chain may only last you a few months. Sterling silver is a great fit instead, or we can add a clasp so you can save your piece for special occasions.

We get it, welded jewelry isn't for every lifestyle. All sales are final, but we're happy to add a clasp for $10 so you can keep wearing your piece whenever you like.

Forever Link is based in Lewis Center, Ohio, just north of Columbus near Polaris. Your appointment address is shared when your booking is confirmed. We also pop up at events around Columbus and Central Ohio and come to you for private parties and corporate events.
